Model Write-Up #1 - Introduction and Zakuul Guardian

(Here is the first of the ideas I've had for flexing my creative writing a bit - model write-ups. I 3D model and texture in the Source Engine - my steam profile is linked on the blog - and I make all sorts of interesting models and designs which never really get any development beyond being used for one server or another. I have a good connection with all of my models, due to how long it takes me, so I think giving them all some development might be a good way to practice a variety of characters. I'll be doing this once a day, hopefully, although I am off to Florida on the 14th of August, so those two weeks will, obviously, be rather sparse on activity here. Hopefully I'll have some good ideas for when I get back.

Without further ado, I present the Zakuul Guardian!)

"The Zakuul Guardian was used to being stared at. Compared to the comparatively-drab Zakuul Knights, his golden hues and glowing blue visor were a noticeable presence wherever he went. He was proud of his job - proud of his order, that he was one of a handful of Guardians who were among the most elite of the Zakuul. They fought some of the Eternal Empire's greatest foes and, unlike their sister order, the Zakuul Templars, they knew to separate bystanders and their targets when it came to combat. He was dutiful, unwavering in his loyalty to his Emperor, and although he sometimes questioned what the Empire forced its way into, he knew it was for the longer-term cause of justice. He was an agent of the Empire, a Guardian of its deepest secrets and a fighter of its strongest opponents. "Honoured is thy purpose" he whispered to himself each time he ignited his saberstaff and jumped into battle. He was assured of himself, of his brothers and sisters in the Guardian Order. Their purpose was honoured indeed, and he would show to the common citizen why it is that he wears his golden marks."
