"After the debacle with Darth Maul and the death of Qui-Gon Jin, Zabrak Jedi within the Order found they were the subject of more suspicion from the general populace, and even more junior members of the Jedi Order. Thrall was one such Zabrak Jedi. He was a gentle, hard-working individual who personified many of the virtues expected of a Jedi, and yet he, too, was subjected to the injustices of this new stereotype. On one occasion, he had been patrolling a back alley. He found two criminals mugging a woman and her children. After repelling the muggers, the woman proceeded to break down and beg mercy from him, confusing him with the late Darth Maul. He had an identity crisis of sorts, and went into the Unknown Regions for two years. When he returned, he found his superiors in the Jedi Order were more understanding than he had thought they would be. Working with the Kaminoans, they had a custom suit of Clonetrooper armour made for him, specially built to allow maximum flexibility and finesse during battle. This allowed him to perform his duties as a member of the Jedi, whilst also permitting him relative anonymity. The general public did not need to know who was underneath the armour, and at first Thrall had been concerned others would not know he was a Jedi at all. Gradually, however, he built up a reputation of being at the forefront of injustice, and his distinctive red armour and blue visor were as much a symbol of the Jedi to those in the Outer Rim as the lightsaber itself."
