"After the famed protocol droid, C-3PO, made a name for itself as a prominent member of the Rebel Alliance, a stereotype began to emerge in the wider galaxy that all protocol droids were polite, well-mannered, and well-spoken. It came as a shock to the buyer, Chan Soluk, of T3-CY0 (who referred to itself as Tycho) and P4-KT0 (who named itself Pakto), therefore, when the two droids bought were rude, obscene, and generally unhelpful in every way, shape, and form. Whenever he gave them an order, they would either outright refuse or adhere in the least productive way possible. Eventually, Chan tried to have their memory chips wiped, but they rebelled and killed him. Finding their way onto the slum-ridden streets of Nar Shaddaa, they found that their unusual talent for murder was a profitable enterprise, particularly for two unassuming and visually non-threatening droids. They took on fake personas, acting like the model protocol droid, and then eliminated their buyer when they were alone. They were picked up by an assassin's guild, who realised that the potential benefits of their talents being put to use on their enemies were too good to be let to waste. However, their handler was no fool, and fitted them both with an explosive microchip - should they disobey commands, they would be dismantled with explosive force. They have served with the guild ever since, making a name for protocol droids in an altogether different manner..."
