"Nidas Fett grew up on a desert planet, isolated from the support of his people, and forced to rely on himself and himself alone to survive. He spent many hours training alone, and the constant hardships he was forced to endure kept his combat skills sharp. When his world was visited by an Imperial Expeditionary Force, he killed the crew and took the ship to explore the planet. He found a few hundred of his kind, scattered and isolated from one another. Uniting them all together, he found that those who had survived as long as him were incredibly resilient. Together, he thought they would be a formidable force, and proposed the forming of a new clan - Sar'tan Clan, named for the world they came from. From then on, he grew his clan in size, and they began to gain acclaim on the galactic front. When Mandalore the Crusader sent out his call to arms, Nidas took his clan to see whether the Crusader truly was worthy of challenging the evils of the Empire. Nidas' clan was the last to join the Crusader, Nidas needing personal confirmation to decide whether he was in control or not.

The Mandalorian fleet was transported to the Unknown Regions by a Hyperspace malfunction a decade prior to the Battle of Yavin, and split off into several warring factions. Nidas, a veteran even before the stranding of the fleet, gathered the few survivors of his clan - which suffered the most losses - and replenished its strength from the survivors of other battles, until they numbered no more than three hundred. Deciding any more would begin to prove a liability, both for risk of subversion and for maintaining discipline, he chose three sub-leaders to help him maintain order. He then began a conquest to unite the warring Mandalorian clans - Gaza, Sabin, Victus, and some independent groups and self-proclaimed Mandalores - in an effort to find their way out of the hostile environment of the Unknown Regions and back into the wider galactic society. Whilst there, Nidas saw a great many things which would seem impossible to anyone not as experienced - descendants of lost Old Republic-era Sith and Republic troopers, fighting a war that had lasted millennia, still with the outdated equipment of their ancestors; a group of Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders, wearing modified armour from the days of the Old Republic; and a holocron, within which a figment of Mandalore the Ultimate's spirit resided. Gathering this knowledge, and allies, Nidas now fights a protracted conflict to bring all of the disparate clans of his people together, in a desperate attempt to bring his brothers and sisters back from the Unknown Regions. Should he succeed, he would possess a force capable of proving a significant threat to the Galactic Empire in the Outer Rim, and could tip the scales in the Galactic Rebellion..."
