"On the day of Karik Sabin's self-emancipation from his life of slavery in the Arena of his homeworld, he created Sabin Clan. His followers were former slaves, gladiators, and the generally down-trodden of society. Abraxus XI, the ice-cold planet upon which his people had been forced to suffer for generations, was plunged into chaos. Open rioting led to the deaths of thousands, but amongst all of the slaughter, Karik and his clan marched inexorably onwards, his followers driven by their loyalty to him. Eventually, their cause succeeded, and Sabin Clan took control of the government; with it, Abraxus XI came under their control. Karik, nor his clan, were satisfied - they had tasted true conflict, and now sought a means to sate their desire for combat, bred into them through the Arena. Karik's ambition was evident - he wanted his clan to become one of the primary competitors in Mandalorian society. To do so, he would need weapons, technology, and armies fit to challenge the existing clans - something Abraxus XI could not provide. He took his clan and explored their region of space, and happened upon an abandoned Separatist base-of-operations on Metellan V. In orbit were several Munificent frigates, a Providence capital ship, and numerous space platforms, all eerily quiet and deactivated. When the Separatists lost the Clone Wars, they had shut down all of their droid armies - here were relics of that forgotten age, lying just within Karik's reach. He took the ships back to Abraxus XI, and crewed them. Using the bases in orbit of Metellan V, he produced other fightercraft, but found their facilities were too limited to produce larger than Munificent frigates. Not to be dissuaded, Sabin Clan reactivated the droid armies under their control. These droids staffed ships where crew could not, and greatly enhanced Sabin Clan's capabilities. By now, they had garnered the attention of the Gaza, Victus, and, at this time the third most dominant, Jekala Clans. Gaza and Victus were prepared to allow Sabin to exist, but Jekala felt threatened by their strength, and so warfare between the Sabin and Jekala Clans began. From the onset, Jekala realised their error - the cheapness and sheer bulk of Sabin's droid armies easily defeated Jekala's armies of volunteers. Each engagmenet had Sabin suffering comparatively minor losses, with Jekala losing whole swathes of their clan with each battle. Finally, Karik Sabin challenged Meriel Jekala to a one-on-one honour duel. The fight was gruelling, but Karik's lack of pain and superior resistance gave him the upper hand, and he beheaded Meriel Jekala with his own vibrosword. The rest of Jekala clan was subsumed into Sabin Clan, and, with this development, they became the third largest clan in the galaxy. Sabin Clan joined the other two in heeding Mandalore the Crusader's call to arms, although they were the last to join him formally. When their clan was trapped in the Unknown Regions with the others. They were the first to abandon the Crusader and support the upstart Infernal, who shared Karik's philosophy of progression in society through conflict. Sabin still stands as the chief military force of the three clans, although their strengths are offset by Sar'tan's superior training, Victus' superior strategic skill, and Gaza's superior adaptive and engineering skills."
