"Brox Arrun was born around fifteen years before the declaration of Order 66, on the jungle planet of Keralis III in the inner rim. He was the son of a shaman, Krey Arrun, and his wife, Niarya, as part of an ancient and highly-respected tribe of Mandalorians who practised their ancient connection to life and all things - a trait this particular tribe is thought to carry due to one of their earliest chieftains being force-sensitive. His mother, despite the best efforts of her doctors, died in childbirth as a consequence of his people's lesser reliance on technology; her head was preserved as a symbol of respect for her contributions to the tribe. His father, a deeply spiritual and respectful man, taught Brox the ways of the spirits and the importance of understanding his place in the cosmos. Although Brox did not know it, Krey was terminally ill and his time left to impart the necessary knowledge upon his son was rapidly decreasing. So spiritual and in tune with their natural selves were they that they attracted the attention of Jedi Knights, who often visited Keralis III to learn the ways of the tribesmen. For the most part, Brox's tribe was peaceful, and they only had minor incidents when Jedi encroached on their ancestral lands without permission. When Brox was fifteen, Order 66 was declared. Many Jedi fled to the tribe for shelter, and his father insisted on taking them in. However, not long after, the newly-established Galactic Empire came to make an example of the tribe and to punish them for supporting the Jedi refugees. They massacred hundreds of the tribe, including women and children, and destroyed shrines thousands of years old in their effort to break the tribe. Eventually, realising fighting was futile, Brox's father told him to take the survivors of the tribe and escape offworld to somewhere safer. Brox was the last aboard, but before he left, his father gave him the head of his mother - telling him to keep it with him, attached to his armour, so he could call on her in his times of need. Brox agreed, and witnessed his father using immense magical powers - which he would later find out to be the Force itself - to decimate and push back the Imperial forces. The response of the Empire was to glass the planet from orbit with Star Destroyers - and thus, Keralis III and the tribe's settlements were no more. For around half a decade, the two hundred or so tribesmen who had survived the Empire's purge wandered the galaxy, trying to find a new planet out of the Empire's influence to settle. Any prospective planets they visited were always unsuitable in some way - wildlife being too dangerous, or being plagued by bounty hunters, and the like - and so the tribe slowly dwindled and faded from memory. Brox's people, possessing little reliance on technology, did not have a communicator and thus Brox did not hear the initial message sent out by Mandalore the Crusader; however, by random chance, Brox stumbled upon Nidas Fett's small fleet of ships whilst wandering aimlessly. Nidas Fett spoke to Brox and, learning that his plight was similar to that of Sar'tan's, offered to guide Brox to Mandalore the Crusader, so that he might gain a better future for his tribe. Brox agreed, following Nidas to the far reaches of the Outer Rim, where the Mandalorians were gathering. He instructed his tribesmen to barter for supplies from other clans to supplement their own, so that they might be better prepared for the Crusade, and he then took his personal starfighter to the Crusader's modified Venator. He spent some time in the hangar bay, planning ahead, and was there to witness Mandalore the Crusader's rousing speech. When the Hyperspace Malfunction occurred, and the entire Mandalorian fleet was stranded in the furthest corner of the Unknown Regions, Brox immediately attempted to contact his tribe - only to witness their ships be crushed and decimated by a huge Keldabe battleship, disabled by the malfunction. He was now the last surviving member of his tribe, and experienced a nervous breakdown, during which he spoke to his mother's skull and heard her talking back to him, trying to calm him. A few moments later, Thasaj Syr stumbled upon him, and introduced himself. Realising he could not survive alone, Brox offered to help Thasaj and join him if he repaired Brox's ship, which was repairable, unlike Thasaj's. He agreed, and the two took off. Brox was checking systems when he discovered Adrick Kulkar stowed aboard the ship. Knowing this area of space could be extremely dangerous, the three struck up an uneasy alliance to help each other survive in the Unknown Regions. Their last action was following the engine trail of the remains of Gaza Clan's fleet, in an effort to join them."
