"Tactical Dreadnought Armour - or, as it was more commonly known, Terminator Armour - was among the fiercest and most durable tools a given chapter had at its disposal. A squad of Terminators, well-placed and well-directed, could change the tide of an entire battle with torrents of fire expected from heavy vehicles, not men in armour. Among the most indomitable of terminator suits were those belonging the Imperial Fists. Famous for their stalwart resistance to all but the most unstoppable of sieges, the champions of Rogal Dorn were well known throughout the Imperium for their tendency to defend even the most hopeless of strategic locations. Whilst ordinary tactical marines were nigh-impervious to conventional weaponry by any other standard, the Terminators of the chapter were the true banner-bearers of the Imperial Fists' objective - to hold the fort of Humanity against xenos, mutants, and heretics. To this end, the Imperial Fists deployed several types of Terminator armour - ancient suits of Cataphractii armour were broken out in the direst of situations, but ordinary Terminator plating, blessed with the Emperor's own seal of honour, were just as crucial in an engagement, and the increasingly-used Centurion armour, with its heavier plating (although reduced armament) often served as a strong forward wall which even entire armies worth of small arms fire could not weather. The Terminators were selected only from the famously courageous 1st Company of any given chapter; only the most deserving and greatest heroes of the time could claim the honour of wearing Terminator armour, and each bore the mark of the Emperor in the form of the Crux Terminatus. In the Imperial Fists, heroes are common - such is to be expected from so renowned a chapter - and so, only the very best among the best of their Space Marines wear this armour into battle. Any enemy foolhardy enough to challenge Imperial Fist Terminators in single combat are sure to meet a quick death - and even an entire army may not be enough to stop their slow, yet inexorable march towards victory."
